Pregnant Woman Forced To Deliver Baby 7 Weeks Early After Boyfriend ‘Set Her Alight Because He Wasn’t Ready To Be A Father’

Andrea Grinage should be enjoying her final stages of pregnancy. But in a cruel twist of fate, the 30-year-old from Capitol Heights, Maryland, was forced to deliver her baby seven weeks early. According to police, her boyfriend doused her in flammable liquid and set her on fire. Grinage was found with critical burns over much of her body when police and fire crews responded to reports of a fire on Friday. Grinage was forced into labor in the most horrific of circumstances. But the brave young woman gave birth to a baby girl, named Journey Aleah. Mother and baby are both recovering in hospital. Grinage is already the mother of two boys, ages 8 and 15. Meanwhile, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up by Andrea’s father Arthur Grinage Sr.

‘Everything was lost in the fire and she must begin a new with your help. She has a long road to recovery and unknown medical cost. PLEASE stop domestic violence!!’ the father wrote. The suspect in the sickening assault is believed to be the father of the newborn baby. Arthur Grinage Sr believes that the attack on his daughter stemmed from her boyfriend’s immature attitude towards fatherhood.
